Preview Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Jets
It looks like this will be the last opportunity for us to see Michael Vick in action… Remember that commissioner Roger Goodell said that Vick would be able to play again after week number 6. The conditionally reinstated quarterback made his Eagles debut last week with a 4-for-4 passing performance, but what everyone really wants to know is if Vick can still run. According to Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid, Michael Vick will be playing on the second half of the game… Well at least that was what he said on the press conference he had yesterday.
The starting quarterback will be Kevin Kolb and for the second half he will be using a combination of Michael Vick along with the veteran backup A.J. Feeley. “We expect Vick to have a better feel for the speed of the game” according to Reid. “I think you’ll see him play probably a little faster this week than he did last week,” Reid said. “It was just a matter of getting him acclimated back into the speed of the game. Then this week, he’ll have a chance to get in and get a few more reps. He had a good week of practice. He’s worked very hard. I expect good things from him.”
On the New York Jet side: The wide receiver Chansi Stuckey opened some eyes with a nice 31 yard touchdown pass made from Mark Sanchez last week , but the Jets’ receiving corps still has more questions than answers behing starter Jerricho Cotchery. Aundrae Allison had a 70 yard touchdown catch from the backup quarterback Erik Ainge, and should see plenty of snaps along with David Clowney and Brad Smith.
