Preview Dallas Cowboys vs. Oakland Raiders
Let’s analyze the Cowboys and Raiders game for tonight… We all know for sure that Oakland is not the best team on the league, but there is a lot of attention on the Cowboys side and especially on their running attach especially now that Terrell Owens has gone to the Buffalo Bills. But it looks like that’s not an easy job to do due, both running-backs Felix Jones (toe) and Tashard Choice (shoulder) have been held out of practice this week.
On the Oakland Raiders site the official running-back is Justin Fargas, but we many believe that the running-back Darren McFadden is going to eventually win the official spot as they starting running-back, and that’s not a secret for anyone… Fargas last season was not even close to be good. On 14 games he played made only 853 yards with an average of 3.9 per attempt and only 1 touchdown for the entire season. On the other side McFadden in his second year on the NFL and I guess it would be a nice timing for him to start receiving more participation on the games because let’s be honest, Fargas is not doing it good… McFadden last year played 13 games but… in almost the half of attempts that Fargas made 499 yards with 4 touchdowns… That’s something that Fargas was not able to do, and it looks like head coach Tom Cable already realize of that.
For last, the Oakland Raiders quarterback Jamarcus Russell begins his third season with the team, and they have big expectations on him. The only problem in this case for Russell is the Raiders signed a number of quarterbacks during the offseason, the most notably name on the list will be Jeff Garcia, who we believe be the one will be pushing Russell to get the starting quarterback job.
