In Week 4, Brett Favre passed for 271 yards and three touchdowns as the Minnesota Vikings knocked off the Green Bay Packers, 30-23. The Green Bay Packers have won six of the past seven meetings and have a 49-46-1 overall series edge, including the playoffs.
Both teams were on bye last week. After playing for 16 years with the Packers, Favre heads back to Lambeau Field as an opposing player for the first time. His emotions figure to be high, but he must maintain his focus and keep under control despite his feelings or whatever reaction he gets from the crowd. Read more…
Philly coach Andy Reid, a man coaches in perhaps the most demanding market in the league, has a tough decision ahead in the 2009 NFL schedule. Does he rush QB Donovan McNabb back for this week’s game against the down-trodden Bucs or give him another week to heal and go with the sensational back up, Kevin Kolb? 
Last time they meet the Vikings escaped with a 28-27 over the Packers when Mason Crosby missed a 52 yards field goal wide right as time expired in week 10 of last season. The Packers have won five of six to take a 49-46-1 overall series lead, (including the playoffs). Last week the Packers went on the road to beat the Rams, 36-17, behind three total touchdowns from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. While Favre connected with Greg Lewis for a 32-yard touchdown pass with 2 seconds left to give the Minnesota Vikings a 27-24 win over the 49ers.
