Kansas City Prepares for Week 11 Whipping from Pittsburgh

This 2009 NFL schedule, the Chiefs have been considered a rebuilding team. And for that reason alone the team can be forgiven some of its awful losses. And that will likely be the case when the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town during week 11 fresh off a loss to bitter division rival Cincy and looking for blood.

Over the past two NFL football betting games the Chiefs are 2-2, which isn’t bad, but it’s the other 5 losses this team has suffered during the 2009 NFL schedule that tip the scales. By any measure, this is a bad team with a very limited offense and porous defense.

It’s the type of team that a squad like the Steelers feasts on.

Kansas City’s offense line has been awful all year which has hobbled the passing game and especially the running game. It should fair very poorly against the blitz heavy attack of the Dick LeBeau defense.

However, there is reason for hope for the Chiefs. Troy Polamalu re-injured his knee and may or may not play. The Steelers defense is a very good unit without him, but it’s excellent with him and his absence is widely felt (see week 10 loss to Cincy). If Polamalu is out of the NFL football betting lineup the blitz isn’t nearly as effective and Matt Cassel should have more time to pass.

Still, there is no way that the Chiefs defense will be able to shut down the Steelers high octane offense led by Big Ben. Despite being stymied the previous week expect the offense to come out attacking during this NFL football odds game and hang up a lot of points against a weak defense.
