Chargers battle Broncos for AFC West lead

November 20th, 2009 Edward Hanes No comments

When these two teams met a month ago the NFL landscape was something very foreign from what it is now, especially in the AFC West. The Broncos pranced into San Deigo with a perfect 5-0 record and trounced the struggling Chargers, knocking them down to an abysmal 2-3 in the NFL football betting standings.

To say that things have changed since their first meeting in the 2009 NFL schedule would be an understatement. The Broncos have not won an NFL odds match up since that game on October 19th. The Bolts have not lost a game since that fateful day. Read more…

Redskins Look to Extend Winning Streak to Two at Cowboys

November 18th, 2009 Mark Smith No comments

The Washington Redskins are hardly a thing of beauty this 2009 NFL schedule but they are still a talented team that at times can find a way to win despite themselves. In the team’s week 10 win over a very good Denver team they reminded the world that they will not go into the night quietly and have a chance to make an even bigger statement against the hated NFC East rival Cowboys in week 11.

The Cowboys (6-3) are undoubtedly the better team in this match and have a three game lead over the Skins (3-6). But that hardly makes them a lock to win no matter what the NFL football betting odds might say. Read more…

Kansas City Prepares for Week 11 Whipping from Pittsburgh

November 16th, 2009 Gus Harpen No comments

This 2009 NFL schedule, the Chiefs have been considered a rebuilding team. And for that reason alone the team can be forgiven some of its awful losses. And that will likely be the case when the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town during week 11 fresh off a loss to bitter division rival Cincy and looking for blood.

Over the past two NFL football betting games the Chiefs are 2-2, which isn’t bad, but it’s the other 5 losses this team has suffered during the 2009 NFL schedule that tip the scales. By any measure, this is a bad team with a very limited offense and porous defense.

It’s the type of team that a squad like the Steelers feasts on. Read more…

Green Bay Looking to Bounce Back at Home vs. Cowboys

November 13th, 2009 Mark Smith No comments

Back in the ‘90s, just like in the 2009 NFL schedule, this was a pretty spirited rivalry. But gone are Favre and Aikman and in their place the next generation of gunslingers has emerged in Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo. These two QBs are some of the finest in the game and it should be a very well executed game at Lambeau.

Green Bay is coming off a terrible embarrassment of a game in Tampa Bay when they were beaten down by what had been the worst team in the NFL football betting odds. There will no doubt be some motivation to get things back on track before the loyal Cheeseheads and stay in the NFL football odds playoff hunt.

The ingredient to beating the Packers this year has been pressuring Rodgers. He has taken about a million sacks already in the 2009 NFL schedule and many people are starting to wonder if he doesn’t have a problem. He’s got to get rid of the ball and quit posting negative yardage. Read more…

Blow Out of the Week #1: Lions at Vikings

November 11th, 2009 Luke Moore No comments

Normally in the 2009 NFL schedule there is a list of ultra-competitive matchups. But if you need any proof that parity in this league is dead you need look no farther than the beat down in waiting between the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions. This game will feature arguably the best team in the NFL versus the worst team in the NFL and the result won’t be pretty.

These two teams are separated in the NFL football betting lines by 16½ points, one of the biggest spreads of the entire 2009 NFL schedule. And with good reason. The Vikings are a legitimate Super Bowl contender playing at home with one of the best QBs, RB, defensive lines and defensive units in NFL betting. Read more…
